The story behind
In late autumn, pink flamingos, large birds of strange beauty, embark on a spectacular courtship ritual that unites them for an entire year. Revealing their graceful necks, haughty gaits and carefully smoothed feathers, the males and females observe and brush past each other for hours on end. Two elegant flamingos pose in a graceful embrace in this scarf design, composed in 2015 by Laurence Bourthoumieux. In this tattoo version, their outstretched wings blend seamlessly with the surrounding palm leaves, orange trees and tropical flowers. The couple lovingly celebrates the land of flowers where they were born.
