The story behind
"Please Hold the Line" is a four-color sketch drawn mechanically, with one ear glued to the handset, waiting for the line to free up at the other end. On a pad of paper left there by chance, the lines and motifs of the drawing all lead to its center, where the Hermès telephone number and Ex-Libris appear. A phone call, deftly illustrated with humor by Dimitri Rybaltchenko.
