The story behind
Floating on white gold plated rings, the meticulously mapped marine reliefs are revealed on printed and coated Swift calf leather. The silver print against the blue Hydra background of this new globe recreates the depths of the sea and takes us on a new journey. Oceanic trenches, ridges and peaks of depth have all been hand-drawn by designer Nigel Peake. Nereus 24 owes its name to the submarine that enabled the exploration of the deepest point of the ocean, in the Mariana Trench.
