The story behind

The Magellan portable backgammon game features a warm jaune ambre color. Legend has it that in 1526, after English Cardinal Thomas Wolsey ordered the burning of all forms of gambling, the traditional backgammon board took on the shape of a folding case, allowing it to be discreetly passed off as a book. Its origins, however, appear to be much more ancient and mysterious. This folding set is made of mahogany and covered in screen-printed Swift calfskin. Whether it's in the living room, the game room or on the terrace, this backgammon is designed to go everywhere with its players.
