The story behind

"A counterpoint to tradition." Jean-Claude Ellena

Composed by Jean-Claude Ellena as a counterpoint to the cologne style, Eau de gentiane blanche revisits the theme of freshness with spirit as well as delicacy. Complex and sophisticated gentian reveals its different facets – sometimes bitter, sometimes smooth – in an elegant vapour of white musks that achieves sweetness without facile sugariness, giving the gentian a completely original olfactory counterpoint.

The Colognes collection reflects the house of Hermès’ art of living. Generous figurative expressions of simple, sparkling pleasures, each Hermès cologne is an olfactory snapshot.
